Nano

By Mac Guerreiro

Eye remember the day we met you,

To think that today we let you go,

Simply because something is right,

It does not mean it’s easy,

My heart aches,

My breaths are heavy,

Tears come and go but sobs won’t stop,

Eye’m clinging to your blanket because it still smells like you,

Eye thought this would wait,

This tsunami of an emotional wave,

Wait till Eye’m back home,

But eye should have known,

That the instant eye walked in the door it would be oh so clear,

That your little physical form is no longer here,

The emptiness in the air,

Suddenly all eye could feel was the void that’s been left there,

Where you’ve been for so long,

Our bond is so strong,

And unlike this blanket,

Eye won’t let you go,

Because your love will forever live in my soul.

Thank you for reading, listening and watching; it means the world to me.
