MIA

By Mac Guerreiro

Forgive me if eye go MIA,

Eye promise it’ll only last a couple of days,

Sometimes eye just don’t have the energy for anyone but myself,

And eye suppose even doing this blog can take some energy out of me as well,

That’s not to say that eye don’t love it,

That eye don’t come back inspired,

Because eye do,

And it’s in greater part thanks to you,

The ones who read my words

Whom have chosen to follow along,

Thank you so much for hearing my song,

With all of that said,

Hello,

It’s been a couple of days,

Eye’ve yet to sleep,

But that’s okay,

Yesterday was a very weird day,

Started with a scare,

One of the worst kind,

Yet by the end of it eye could feel myself growing,

In spirit,

Body,

And mind,

Two drained souls,

We slept through early afternoon,

And now my internal clock is in disarray,

Yet eye find myself in a similar place as eye was last week,

Given a chance to see what my brain seeks,

It’s easier when it’s slowed down,

Eye can clearly see how it wants to boss me around,

Quelling the need for control,

Eye remind her that her energy is gold,

Eye’d like to use it to learn,

To contemplate the things eye know,

To ask probing questions whose answers push me to grow,

Those are places where my mind finds peace,

Now it’s about reminding her until she can’t help but see.

Thank you for reading, listening and watching; it means the world to me.
