By Mac Guerreiro

A million trains that never stop running,

Barely colliding,

They rush by before eye can even look their way,

That’s what my mind feels like nearly day to day,

Yet sometimes,

The rushing by happens faster than eye can take,

And staying in bed sounds as good as eating guilt-free cake,

Eye snooze away,

And pretend eye don’t judge myself for sleeping in so late,

A lego house in vision,

Just pieces in front of my face,

And what feels like no energy to seize this day.
