Wasp Medicine

by Mac Guerreiro

Eye heard the familiar buzzing from her wings. The same sound we hear when a fly is trapped by the window, only able to see freedom yet not quite partake in it. Expecting it to be a fly eye went over to the window only to find a yellow jacket. Mistaken for bees, these creatures are part of the wasp family and can be deadly to those whom are allergic to their sting. With this in mind eye felt weary, not even wondering how the hell it made its way into my room. After a moment eye realized that it wasn’t moving frantically, but rather sat there moving a bit and appearing to watch me. Eye got something with which to hold it in and placed it outside along with some sugar water in case it needed a boost of energy.

After she was free on my balcony eye took to Google to find out what the symbolism for a wasp is and what eye found made all the sense. They bring an energy of productivity, discipline and a feeling of being in control of one’s life. All things that eye’ve been praying for lately. It was after reading into this that eye really thought about how there was nearly a 0% chance that she could have gotten stuck in my room. This fortified my gratitude for this divine medicine that was brought to me today. Still feel overwhelmed and a bit out of control, but reminded that even energetically eye’m not alone.
