Sweet Siren

By Mac Guerreiro

Call me by my name,
An ocean vast and great,
With waves that take your breath away,
Call me when you land,
On my islands covered in fluffy sand,
Teaming with life and beauty,
Sail away,
Towards the storms that hide my most precious treasures,
Pearls and shells,
Larimar, kyanite and quartz as well,
Find her in a cave,
Walls aglow,
Singing a song that only we know,
Calling to a sailor from below,
She's tender,
Sweet,
She cannot explain what she's seen,
But it keeps her from roaming above,
She's sworn to remain here,
As the ultimate act of self love.
